Taco Seasoning

We eat a lot of Mexican dishes so I make batches of taco seasoning to use on chicken, ground beef, peppers and prawns. You can buy the little yellow packets of seasoning but you probably have a lot of the ingredients in your spice rack and by making your own you can control the salt and heat. It takes minutes to make, can be stored for weeks and tastes amazing!

INGREDIENTS
Makes 3 tsp

(multiply quantities equally if you want a bigger batch)
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chilli powder (adjust or discard this according to your heat preference)
pinch of salt
pinch of chilli flakes

  • Mix everything together and keep in a small Tupperware container until needed.

Try out this seasoning with Taco Beef Nachos or Crunchy Wedges
