Taco Seasoning

We eat a lot of Mexican dishes so I make batches of taco seasoning to use on chicken, ground beef, peppers and prawns. You can buy the little yellow packets of seasoning but you probably have a lot of the ingredients in your spice rack and by making your own you can control the salt and heat. It takes minutes to make and tastes amazing!

Makes 3 tsps

(multiply quantities equally if you want a bigger batch)
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chilli powder (adjust or discard this according to your heat preference)
pinch of salt
pinch of chilli flakes

  • Mix everything together and keep in a small Tupperware container until needed.
