Kid’s Quick Heart-Shaped Pizza

I am not renowned for my romantic nature. I go weak at the knees at a well-organised shelf, or a particularly runny cheese but love songs and rom-coms leave me a bit cold. However, I do love a heart shape, so I go a bit mad with my heart-shaped cookie cutters at Valentine’s. Since having the kids it’s a great excuse for making their regular snacks into pretty heart shapes so I thought I’d share my heart-shaped pizza snacks with you. I use a smaller heart-shaped cutter to cut apples, cheese and melon into little hearts to serve with the pizzas.

INGREDIENTS
white bread
ham
grating cheese
passata
spreadable butter

  • Cut a heart shape out of the slices of bread then butter one side. Place the butter side down on a baking sheet then brush the other side with passata. Tear pieces of ham onto the passata then grate over with cheese.
  • Place under a hot grill for about 3-5 minutes then serve with heart shaped fruit and veggies.
