Presto Pizza

I’ll often have a frozen pizza on hand for evenings when I just can’t be bothered to cook but these Presto Pizzas are made in the same amount of time and the kids love making their own. It’s also a great way to use up a few leftover mushrooms or the last bit of tinned of corn. Flat breads or pita breads are ideal as the base.

Post-Natal Superfood Profile: Fibre
Like iron, fibre helps to regulate blood sugar and your body uses it for the production of serotonin, an essential chemical for mental health.

INGREDIENTS
Serves 2 Adults & 2 Kids

4-6 flatbreads or pita breads
grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or both)
Toppings of Your Choice
ham/salami/chicken/tuna
olives/jalapenos/pineapple
corn/spring onion/mushrooms/peppers

  • Chop your chosen ingredients into similar sized pieces and grate the cheese.
  • Smooth some passata onto each base then choose your toppings and sprinkle over with cheese.
  • Put the pizzas onto a baking tray then under a hot grill for 6-7 minutes (not too close to the upper element). Keep an eye on them while you figure out how hot your grill is. Cut into slices and serve with cucumber sticks and apple slices.
